When soldiers come home there might be unseen injuries, instead of physical injury. Antoher unforseen injury occurs to families of returning vets, an injury that no stranger can see. We at North Troy Stag Rod & Gun Club proudly support the efforts of Heroes at Home (H@H) of Rensselaer County. Heroes at Home offers peer mentoring for returning vets, for it takes a brother or sister at arms to understand the stresses of the battlefield. PTSD is reaching near epidemic levels within the military, our friends and families who have served and who have PTSD need all the support they can get. We at the NTSRGC salute the efforts of H@H, an organiztion that continues to keep the Soldiers Creed.

    I am an American Soldier.
I am a Warrior and a member of a team.
I serve the people of the United States, and live the Army Values.
I will always place the mission first.
    I will never accept defeat.
    I will never quit.
I will never leave a fallen comrade.
I am disciplined, physically and mentally tough, trained and proficient in my warrior tasks and drills.
I always maintain my arms, my equipment and myself.
I am an expert and I am a professional.
I stand ready to deploy, engage, and destroy, the enemies of the United States of America in close combat.
I am a guardian of freedom and the American way of life.
    I am an American Soldier.

"I will never leave a fallen comrade" is still  important back at home, as it is on the battlefield.
