At the October memberhsip meeting a proposal to construct an additional trap range was unanimously approved. Trap has become increasingly popular in the past several years with many new shooters. The new range will allow us to meet this sustained demand, will reduce waiting times and allow more members to try & to enjoy this sport.
In the coming months as you come down the driveway you will see construction to the right of the existing trap range. There will be four phases to the project. The first, which has been completed, was to move the trap storage trailer over to the other side of the drive, out of the way of construction. Phase two to begin soon will be to have the trees and vegetation removed by a logging contractor. The third phase will be to level the hill and grade the area. It is hoped this work will be completed this year. Next spring, the fourth and final phase will be to layout the new range, pour cement for the stations and to construct a new trap house, sheds, and install the machine.
Curiosity about this project is natural but we ask that members for their own safety stay out of the construction site while work is going on. Also during hunting season keep in mind workers will be on site and coming/going from the club. Please park in the club lots and not by the trap range or along the driveway.
I want to thank the Board of Directors and the Members for their support of this project.
