RANGE RULES

  1. BY USING THE CLUB RANGES, SHOOTERS ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY FOR ALL RISKS, DAMAGES AND/OR INJURY TO THEMSELVES AND/OR THEIR GUESTS, AND AGREE TO INDEMNIFY THE CLUB FOR ANY AND ALL INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE CAUSED OR SUSTAINED WHILE PRESENT ON CLUB PROPERTY.

  2. SHOOTING HOURS FOR THE OUTDOOR RANGES ARE FROM 9:00 a.m. UNTIL SUNSET.

  3. RANGE BOOKS: SIGN-IN BEFORE SHOOTING, ENTER DATE, TIME, CALIBER AND SIGN-OUT TIME IS REQUIRED.

  4. LOADED FIREARMS ARE ALLOWED ONLY ON THE FIRING LINE AND WILL ALWAYS BE POINTED IN A DOWN RANGE DIRECTION (NO EXCEPTIONS).

  5. EYE AND EAR PROTECTION MUST BE WORN BY ALL SHOOTERS AND SPECTATORS.

  6. THE RANGE MASTER IS, AS THE WORD IMPLIES, MASTER OF THE RANGE DURING SHOOTING. THE RANGE MASTERS WORD IS LAW WHILE FIREARMS ARE PRESENT.

  7. NO FIREARMS WILL BE HANDLED ON THE LINE AND BEHIND THE LINE WHILE SOMEONE IS FORWARD OF THE FIRING LINE / DOWNRANGE.  ALL PERSONS MUST VERIFY THAT FIREARMS ARE SAFE, UNLOADED, ACTIONS OPEN AND EMPTY CHAMBER INDICATOR ( E.C.I) IN PLACE BEFORE ANYONE PROCEEDS DOWNRANGE. ALL OTHERS MUST STAND BEHIND THE SAFETY LINE WHEN SOMEONE IS DOWNRANGE.

  8. NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ARE ALLOWED ON THE RANGE. NO DRINKING OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES PRIOR TO SHOOTING.

  9. NO CANS, BOTTLES, EXPLODING TARGETS OR OTHER GARBAGE TARGETS. INCENDIARY PROJECTILES NOT ALLOWED.

  10. SHOOTER MUST BE STRAIGHT IN LINE WITH TARGET. NO DIAGONAL / CROSS RANGE SHOOTING IS ALLOWED.

  11. CARRY OUT WHAT YOU CARRY IN. PICK UP YOUR TRASH, CASINGS, USED TARGETS AND ANY OTHER MATERIAL THAT YOU HAVE USED. PLACE USED BRASS CASINGS IN BRASS PAILS, N.T.S WILL KEEP BRASS. EMPTY RANGE GARBAGE BARREL INTO CLUB DUMPSTER.

  12. RIFLES, SHOTGUNS, INCLUDING MUZZLE LOADING LONG GUNS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON PISTOL RANGE. HUNTING PISTOLS ARE ALLOWED ON THE RIFLE RANGE ONLY FOR THE SHOOTING DISTANCE OF 100 YARDS. SHOTGUN FITTED WITH SLUG BARREL USING SLUG PROJECTILE ONLY IS ALLOWED ON THE RIFLE RANGE.

  13. NO BIRDSHOT/BUCKSHOT IS TO BE USED ON RIFLE AND PISTOL RANGES. BIRDSHOT/BUCKSHOT CAN BE USED AT TRAP RANGE PATTERNING BOARD.

  14. N.T.S MEMBER IS REQUIRED TO EXPLAIN ALL RANGE RULES TO GUEST AND THE N.T.S MEMBER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ACTIONS OF GUEST.

  15. NO GUEST IS ALLOWED TO USE THE RIFLE RANGE ON THE SATURDAYS AND SUNDAYS TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO THE OPENING OF THE SOUTHERN ZONE BIG GAME SEASON.

  16. ALL FEDERAL AND N.Y.S LAWS WITH REGARD TO FIREARMS MUST BE COMPLIED WITH.

  17. FAILURE TO ADHERE TO THE RULES WILL RESULT IN DISCIPLINARY ACTION.

 

ADDITIONAL RULES FOR THE PISTOL RANGE

  1. MOVABLE TARGET FRAMES ARE NOT TO BE PLACED IN FRONT OF THE BOWLING PIN TABLES.

  2. NO SHOOTING AT TARGET STEEL FRAME BASES AND AT THE WOODEN VERTICAL TARGET SUPPORTS.

  3. OBEY SIGNAGE THAT IDENTIFIES PISTOL CALIBERS AND PROJECTILE TYPE NOT APPROVED FOR SHOOTING AT BOWLING PINS.
