2025 New York State Outdoor Precision Pistol Championship

A message from the director:

NYS had Four Clubs submit their 2025 NYS Outdoor Precision Pistol Championship match scores. Dutchess County Pistol Association, Niagara County Sportsman Club, Rockdale Sportsman Club & North Troy Stag Rod & Gun Club.

I want to thank all the competitors for participating in the 2025 New York State Outdoor Precision Pistol Championship match. The Final Results for both the 3 Gun & the 22 Only Championship are attached. Congratulations to all the winners. Also, a huge Thank You to the Match Directors & Range Staff for their hard work and dedication to our sport.

Couple points I wanted to mention regarding the positive direction we are having on Precision Pistol within NYS:

Last Year (2024):

58 Shooters Participated

45 – 3 Gun

13 – 22 Only

This Year (2025)

81 Shooters Participated

49 – 3 Gun

32 – 22 Only

As you can see, we had about the same number of shooters participating in the 3 Gun match in the last 2 years. But what I am most proud of is the fact that we almost had 3 times the amount or 22 Only shooters from last year to this year.

This is an indication that we are growing our championship and hopefully bringing shooters back to the sport they once loved. So, talk it up at your clubs, get your friends to join you and support our endeavor to bring precision pistol back stronger than ever.

My goal for next year is to have over 100 shooters participate in our state match. With your help I know we can do it.

It seems hard to believe that we just finish up with Outdoor shooting, and we are already gearing up for our indoor leagues and events. Look at the 2026 NYS Indoor Championship Bulletin. We got a late start last year and had a terrific turnout with over 100 shooters participating across the state. With your help, I hope this year is even better.
